How do I scan food to log calories?

Tap the camera icon or "Scan Food" button on the home screen. Point your camera at your meal and take a photo. Our AI will automatically identify the foods and provide calorie and macro estimates. You can adjust portions before adding to your log.

How do I search and log food manually?

Tap the "+" button or "Add Meal" on your food log. Use the search bar to find foods by name. We have an extensive database including Indian foods (roti, dal, rice dishes), international cuisines, and common packaged foods. Select your food, adjust the serving size, and tap "Add" to log it.

How does cycle-synced calorie tracking work?

HerCal adjusts your calorie recommendations based on your menstrual cycle phase. Your metabolism and nutritional needs naturally fluctuate throughout your cycle:

Enter your cycle information in the Cycle tab to enable personalized recommendations.

How do I set up my cycle tracking?

Go to the "Cycle" tab and tap "Set Up Cycle." Enter your average cycle length and the start date of your last period. HerCal will calculate your current phase and provide relevant nutrition tips. You can log your period start dates to improve accuracy over time.

How do I use the AI Nutrition Assistant?

Tap the "AI Assistant" icon to start a conversation. You can ask questions like:

Do I need an internet connection?

You need an internet connection for AI food scanning and the AI Assistant. However, you can manually search and log foods from our cached database offline. Your data will sync when you reconnect.

How do I delete a food entry?

Go to your Food Log, find the entry you want to remove, and swipe left on it. Tap "Delete" to remove it. You can also tap on the entry to edit the serving size or other details.

How do I change my calorie goal?

Go to Settings → Goals → Daily Calories. You can set a custom calorie target or use our calculator based on your age, weight, height, activity level, and goals (lose weight, maintain, or gain).

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your App Store or Google Play account:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete all your data including food logs, cycle information, and progress history. Alternatively, email us at mallik.puranjan@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and we'll process your request within 48 hours.
