Camera Usage and Food Photos

Privacy First: HerCal uses your device's camera solely to scan and identify foods for calorie tracking. Food photos are processed by our AI to identify nutritional content and are not permanently stored on our servers. Images are processed in real-time and discarded after analysis unless you explicitly choose to save them to your food log.

Information Collection and Use

The Application may collect certain information automatically when you download and use it, including:

Your device's IP address and model
Usage data (meals logged, features used, session duration)
App settings (preferences, units, display options, dietary preferences)

Your food log and cycle data are primarily stored locally on your device.
If you use device backup features (e.g., iCloud or Google Drive), your data may be synced to your personal cloud account.

All data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols (TLS 1.3).

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. This includes encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Opt-Out Rights

You may stop data collection at any time by:

Uninstalling the application from your device.
Revoking camera permissions in your device settings.
Requesting account and data deletion via support (email below).
Disabling analytics in the app settings.
Deleting your cycle data separately while keeping other features.

Data Retention

We retain user data as long as you use the app and maintain an active account. If you delete the app, local data is removed from your device. You can request complete deletion of any cloud-synced data by contacting support. Subscription data is retained by the App Store provider for billing history in accordance with their policies.

Children's Privacy

Age Restriction: This app is intended for adult women (18+) for nutrition tracking purposes. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
